The City of Boston Recycling Campaign
For my largest freelance commission yet, I was tasked with the creation of an ad campaign to promote recycling in the City of Boston. The campaign spans billboards, bus graphics, social media, and mobile ads. I worked closely with the Zero Waste Boston Marketing team to generate concepts and graphics.

I first created 4 mockups for the marketing staff to choose from. We settled on option 3, and collaborated to create the tagline "Make Way For Recycling". From there I worked closely with the City of Boston's design team to ensure that my illustration matched brand guidelines.

The final image had to fit with the City Boston's simple, iconic design style. It also had to work in several sizes; the top image is sized for a billboard, and the lower image is made for a longer and thinner bus graphic.

The success of the ducklings image led to an expansion of the campaign. We collaborated with the Boston Red Sox to use their Wally mascot to promote paper recycling, and created a billboard image with him as well.

To go along with the billboards, I created a series of social media posts for Boston's instagram, resizing our existing graphics and creating two new ones for plastic and metal recycling
